Vendi

Terms of Use

Last updated October 3, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [business or owner name] ("we", "us"), which operates Vendi. By using Vendi, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Vendi.

Who can use Vendi

You must be at least 13 years old to use Vendi. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. Some features, like the campus leaderboard, are only for students who verify a university email address.

What Vendi is, and what it isn't

Vendi shows information about vending machines on campus: where they are, what they usually stock, prices, payment methods, and reports from other students.

Your account

Vendi creates an account for you automatically. If you verify a student email, keep access to that email: it's how you sign in on a new phone. Use only your own email, and use only one account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

Points, achievements, and rewards

Your reports and display name

You're responsible for the reports you file and the display name you choose. Reports must be honest and about what you actually saw. Display names must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, or harassing, must not impersonate anyone, and must not include personal information like phone numbers.

You give us permission to store, display, and use your reports and display name to run Vendi. You can report a display name you think breaks these rules by tapping it on the leaderboard. We may remove reports, change or remove display names, and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

Don't misuse Vendi

Don't:

Maps and other services

Maps are provided by Apple Maps on iPhone and Google Maps on Android, and your use of the map is also subject to their terms. We're not responsible for services we don't control.

Our content

Vendi, its name, logo, design, and code belong to us or our licensors. Open-source software in the app is used under its own licenses, listed in the app. You may use Vendi for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Ending your use

You can stop using Vendi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect other students, and we may change or stop offering Vendi.

Disclaimers

Vendi is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, money, or time, arising from your use of Vendi. Our total liability for any claim about Vendi is limited to $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Apple and Google

These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren't responsible for Vendi, its content, maintenance, support, or any claims about it. If you downloaded Vendi from Apple's App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you, and you also agree to follow the App Store's usage rules.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Vendi after that, you accept the new terms.
